On 28.01.2021, a practical seminar was held with representatives of Joint Stock Company "MOZYR OIL REFINERY", the Administrative Divisions of State Production Association "BELORUSNEFT" and Belarusian Oil Research and Design Institute "BelNIPIneft".
Within the framework of the event, the employees of State Enterprise"Belorusneft-Neftehimproject" presented the opportunities and successful solutions of the enterprise in the field of design automation, the development of new technologies and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
The reports of specialists covered the following aspects of the company's activities:
- 3D laser scanning;
- implementation of BIM design;
- Vitro-CAD electronic document management system.
The guests were shown the capabilities of a 3D laser scanner - a device which represents objects like a set of points with spatial coordinates, by making up to a million measurements per second. The data array, which is called a "point cloud", can be presented in three-dimensional and two-dimensional form, as well as used for measurements, calculations, analysis and modeling.
After receiving the "point cloud", the next step is to create an operational BIM model. The Building Information Model is a necessary stage preceding the creation of a digital double. A digital double is a virtual model that allows you to simulate technological operations, assign physical and geometric properties to elements, work out and simulate emergency situations on the object.
The practical seminar provided an opportunity to exchange experience between representatives of industry enterprises on the introduction of modern technologies into practice, discuss the prospects of activity and the possibility of further fruitful cooperation.
