Specialists of the geodetic survey department of the State Enterprise "Belorusneft-Neftehimproject" performed 3D-laser scanning the storage warehouse of petroleum products "Bernady-Priluki" of RUE "Belorusneft-Brestoblnefteprodukt" with subsequent desk processing of the received materials.
The customer received an ideal and absolutely detailed picture of the object.
3D laser scanning technology has made it possible to obtain a point cloud consisting of more than 450 billion points, each of which has its own natural color, and covering the entire territory of the enterprise, including industrial equipment.
The result of this approach is a spatial three-dimensional image of existing buildings, structures and aboveground communications with absolute accuracy, which can later be used to create a solid-state digital and information model.
Another unique feature of 3D laser scanning is the use of the obtained results in a virtual reality system. At the end of the work, the object was uploaded to the program, where the customer "walked" around the entire site in VR glasses, "climbed" on the petroleum reservoirs, examined the structures with the smallest details.
