On March 17, within the framework of the International Architectural and Construction Exhibition "BUDEXPO-2022", a conference dedicated to the topic of digitalization of the construction industry was held.
Among the guests at this conference were Anatoly Nichkasov, Chairman of the Union of Builders, Alexey Ananich, Deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus, and Gennady Purs, Director of the Republican Scientific and Technical Center for Pricing in Construction.
The speakers of the conference presented the achievements of their organizations in the field of digitalization. The Belorusneft Production Association did not stand aside and presented three reports at once from various structural divisions (BelNIPIneft, Neftehimproekt, Capital Construction Management of the Central Office).
As part of a speech from the state enterprise "Belorusneft-Neftehimproekt", the BIM manager of the enterprise Dovgal Elena raised the key issues of the designated topic in the presentation "Are there benefits from BIM technologies or how to motivate the сustomer". The report revealed the main advantages of using information modeling technologies for each stage of the object's life cycle
Using her own experience in the introduction of information technologies, Elena emphasized the main prospects for the development of technology, motivating factors for the customer, the principles and tasks of forming the target product in the form of a single information model of the construction object
Particular attention was paid to the use of operational information models, which aroused particular interest among the conference attendees.
At the conclusion of her report, the speaker outlined the necessity for joint work both between various departments of the country and within the construction industry in order to develop unified solutions that will unlock the potential of information technologies and use the benefits of their use at the highest possible level
Such an approach, according to the speaker, will allow to obtain both an economic effect and, in general, to improve the quality of the product, thereby ensuring the sustainable development of the construction industry.
