Employees of the state enterprise "Belorusneft-Neftehimproekt" visited the flagship of the Belarusian oil industry – Open Joint Stock Company "Naftan" on 18.08.2022.
The working meeting was due to the growing interest of customers in information modeling technology and practical opportunities that can be useful for the implementation of any stage of the life cycle of an object after design – construction, reconstruction and modernization, as well as operation.
Project manager – BIM manager of the enterprise Elena Dovgal voiced the possibilities of close integration of all means of digitalization using a single information environment as an up-to-date source of knowledge about the object, which will subsequently allow solving tasks more efficiently and obtaining a significant economic effect.
Employees of the geodetic department Alexander Zaiko and Valeria Narushevich presented the possibilities of 3D laser scanning. Right during the working meeting on the territory of Naftan OJSC, a scan of a technologically loaded industrial installation was performed, according to the results of which a detailed "point cloud" was quickly formed.
The level of development of BIM modeling of the state enterprise "Belorusneft-Neftekhimproekt" was demonstrated by the example of the developed models of the storage warehouse of petroleum products "Bernada" and NGDU "Rechitsa", which the participants were able to get acquainted with using VR technologies in virtual space.
The state Enterprise Belorusneft-Neftekhimproekt, as an experienced design enterprise actively developing digital design technologies and introducing the achievements of modern science into daily practice, has a high level of professionalism and developed competencies that allow us to offer the customer the solution of the following applied tasks based on an information model:
- interactive author supervision (using augmented and mixed reality technologies – AR/MR);
- visualization of construction and installation processes (comparison of construction volumes with design ones, evaluation of results and forecasts for further progress of work);
- 3D laser scanning with the possibility of examining potentially dangerous and hard-to-reach objects with photo/video fixation, quality control of construction and installation works;
- comprehensive representation of objects in various sections – on models, drawings, documentation, reports;
- collective expertise of projects in the engineering data management system;
- integration with maintenance and repair, application of the model for operational tasks;
- ontrol of supplies and purchases;
- integration with the automated control system, data transfer at the logic level;
- comprehensive analytics;
- simulation of operating scenarios;
- identification of equipment using QR codes;
- organization of remote headquarters and VR meetings;
- development of simulators and instructions based on the model.
The working meeting with representatives of "Naftan" allowed to discuss more closely and productively the issues that connect the designer and the customer, to display all the advantages of a three-dimensional information model and the opportunities that the state enterprise "Belorusneft-Neftehimproekt" is able to implement not only at the design stage, but also actively help with the further development of the life cycle of the object during construction and operation.
