On January 29, 2022 in Minsk, within the walls of the Beton event space, a seminar "Meeting about BIM" was held, which was organized by JSC "Institute "Belgosproekt". The event was attended by BIM designers of the state enterprise "Belorusneft-Neftehimproekt" .
The report "The experience of the Belgosproject on the implementation of BIM" was made by representatives of JSC "Institute "Belgosproekt".
The organizers told about their projects created with the help of BIM technologies, shared their experience in attracting and training specialists, forming a BIM department. As the speakers emphasized, the objectives of this meeting were to promote the development of BIM technologies in the Republic of Belarus at all stages of construction work, from the designer to the customer and contractor.
At this meeting, our specialists managed to ask questions about the structure of the organization of the BIM department, its development plans, interaction with customers, as well as clarify applied issues related to modeling, the degree of detail, classification, and the use of various software products in the framework of live communication.
The answers received, as well as the topic of the event itself, helped to form an idea of the level of development of BIM design of our colleagues from JSC "Institute "Belgosproekt", readiness for further digitalization of the enterprise, as well as the overall involvement of designers in information modeling technologies. The speech of the director of JSC "Institute "Belgosproject" confirmed the readiness of the enterprise to develop the direction of BIM modeling and the prospective transition of the entire enterprise to the rails of BIM.
The researching of the experience of implementing and using BIM design in various design enterprises allows the participants of our BIM team to get a general idea of the development of this promising technology in the Republic of Belarus. According to colleagues from the "Institute "Belgosproject", there is a constant movement in this direction. Designers do not consider it advisable to return to the previously familiar classical 2D design after mastering a new skill, and there are more and more people who want to work in BIM. They see in this technology prospects for improving the quality of project documentation and the redistribution of time spent from routine work towards the analysis of decisions and quality control.
