With the support of the Center for Industrial Unmanned Solutions "COPTER.BY "and the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformatics of the Belarusian State University held the 2nd International Seminar on the collection of spatial data using UAVs, ground and air laser scanning "Unmanned aerial vehicles and their application practices" on October 27, 2022. Employees of the geodetic survey Department of the state enterprise "Belorusneft-Neftehimproekt" took part in the seminar.
The program addressed the issues of using UAVs in various fields of activity, automation of surveys using unmanned technologies and specialized software, experience in using UAVs for land management, forest management, land cadastre and other applied tasks, in topographic and geodetic and cartographic activities. The participants were also presented with the experience of using aerial laser scanning, processing the data obtained in specialized software products, various systems of unmanned solutions, as well as legislative issues related to the operation and operation of these technologies.
Among the speakers were representatives of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the Republican Unitary Enterprise for Air Navigation Services of Air Traffic "Belaeronavigation", the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformatics of BSU, RUE "Belgeodesia", LLC "Center for Industrial Unmanned Solutions "Kopter BY", as well as invited speakers from specialized enterprises of the Russian Federation.
This seminar is useful for highlighting the nuances and features of aerial photography and aerial laser scanning in the practice of organizations from various industries, as well as consideration of legislative issues of spatial data collection through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. These issues are relevant for the state enterprise "Belorusneft-Neftehimproekt", which already actively uses laser scanning technologies in its activities.
